A SOCIAL enterprise is recruiting new volunteers for a programme to improve green spaces around Keighley and Airedale.
The Outdoor Taskforce initiative, run by Keighley-based Get Out More, gives participants the chance to learn new skills.
Members meet once or twice a month and work alongside organisations Yorgreencic, Aire Rivers Trust and Keighley Big Local on conservation projects such as planting trees, building dams, fencing and dry stone walling.
Outdoor Taskforce is funded by the Prince of Wales' Charitable Fund.
Ryan Passmore, for Get Out More, says: "There is no end of opportunity to improve green spaces, and organisations that could use extra pairs of hands.
"Participants get a lot of satisfaction from doing something positive for the environment and helping local groups. We also hope they will gain the confidence in their skills to pursue an outdoors career."
