AN Exley Head couple have completed a 13-mile trek to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
Terry and Linda Long tackled the Trek13 walk, alongside Ullswater, yesterday.
They have so far coined-in over £1,280 through sponsorship and two fundraising events – one at Blue Ginger Boutique in Keighley where Linda works, and the other at Branshaw Golf Club, Oakworth.
"We both have close family members suffering from this dreadful disease and wanted to raise what we could," says Linda.
"They fed us at the start of the trek and halfway through and advised everyone to take lots of water – it was very hot!
"The route was more undulating than we thought it would be and rocky in places, but the scenery was stunning."
