POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run incident which left a cyclist seriously injured.

The incident happened in Keighley Road, near Harden, at 9.25am yesterday (June 11).

A Suzuki Baleno car heading towards the St Ives estate collided with one of two cyclists travelling in the same direction.

The Suzuki failed to stop.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries, a broken pelvis and internal bleeding.
