TRAIN services are running again on the Airedale line – but a warning has been issued to passengers.

The line was closed this morning between Skipton and Shipley whilst emergency services dealt with an incident at Cononley station.

Operator Northern says the line has reopened in both directions, but warns that some services will be disrupted due to misplaced trains and crew.

Emergency services were called to Cononley at 9.55am today and a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

British Transport Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
