YOUNG members of Keighley's Imagination Library could help mark a major milestone for the global initiative.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library programme, established in 1995 and spanning five countries, has gifted its 200 millionth book.

And to celebrate, seven children subscribed to the scheme are being given a chance to have a video chat with the country music legend.

Personalised signed letters, autographed photos and theme park tickets are also up for grabs, and the Dollywood Foundation will donate £2,000 on behalf of the winners to their local Imagination Library.

The seven children will be selected through hidden bookmarks in September's books.

As part of the Imagination Library, more than 1,300 under-fives in Keighley East, West and Central wards receive a free age-appropriate book through the post every month. If a child is registered from birth until their fifth birthday, they eventually have a library of 60 books.

All children actively enrolled in the scheme by Monday, July 31, will have a chance of winning in the 200 Million Reasons to Celebrate initiative.
