A SEVENTH family play day is being held at Parkwood.

A wide range of activities is lined up for the event, which takes place at the recreation ground, Parkwood Street, on Friday, August 25, between 1pm and 4pm.

Attractions will include a fun run, football coaching with CM Coaching, giant inflatables, stalls, games and a tombola.

Refreshments and food will be on offer.

The play day is organised by Parkwood Community Group and funded by Keighley Big Local, with donations from the town's Asda store and Morrisons.

Shaun O'Hare, for Keighley Big Local, says: "The Parkwood family play day is a lovely event, which gives an opportunity for residents to upskill and volunteer their time for the community.

"It's also lots of fun, with neighbours getting to know each other a little better, which in turn leads to an increased interest in the wellbeing of the Parkwood community."

Following last year's event, organisers hailed it as a "fantastic" success and said they would use feedback to provide an even better extravaganza.

Residents have been invited to a series of meetings in the past couple of months to help plan this year's activities.
