A SELECTION of poems on the loves of Anne Lister – who was made famous by the hit BBC TV programme Gentleman Jack – will be performed in Haworth on Wednesday (August 23).
Performance poet Christine Sanders will read from her Women collection, which features each of Anne's lovers – from Eliza Raine to Ann Walker.
The event is at Wave of Nostalgia bookshop, Main Street, at 7pm.
Diane Park, Wave of Nostalgia owner, says: "The combination of a fantastic performance poet in Christine Sanders and legendary local hero Anne Lister is something very special. I’ve watched Christine's performances online and they are incredible – it’s going to be a very emotional evening."
