SAWDUST is making a return to Haworth's Groovy Happening.

The band is headlining at the 132nd instalment of the monthly charity event, which raises funds for Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.

Sawdust – comprising Mike Mitchell and Mark Chrystyn on guitar and vocals, vocalist Gemma Stockdale, Adam Driver on bass and vocals, and drummer Tim Gilroy – performs well-known songs predominantly from the 1960s through to the 80s, but with some more-current numbers too.

The band will open the evening's live music as well, with an acoustic set as Sawdust Unplugged.

Appearing between the two sets will be Amnesia, which is performing at Groovy Happening for the second time, with a range of retro classics.

The event takes place upstairs at Parkside Social Club on Saturday, September 2, at 7.30pm.

Admission is £5, cash payments only, with all proceeds going to Manorlands.

Since Groovy Happening began, £48,350 has been raised.
