GP group Modality has been spotlighting the importance of people knowing their blood pressure status.
Representatives have attended community events across Keighley to raise awareness ahead of national Know Your Numbers! Week, which began today (September 4).
Amongst those to get his blood pressure checked at one event, the Lund Park Great Get Together, was town mayor Councillor John Kirby.
Modality pharmacist Usman Iqbal, who carried out the check, says: "I urge everybody to get their blood pressure checked and encourage family, friends and colleagues to do it too.
"There is a lot of undiagnosed high blood pressure in our communities, so please make the effort to 'know your numbers'.
"Pop into a community pharmacy and get it checked.
"By lowering your blood pressure, you can lower your risk of heart attacks, strokes and other health conditions."
