GREEN Drinks – an initiative for environmentally-minded Keighley people – meets this month.

And the group will welcome two guest speakers.

Eric Yaffey, a member of the Friends of Park Wood, will demonstrate 'essential knots'.

And Chris Johnson – an outdoor educator and chair of North of England Activities Training (NEAT) – will speak on Walking, Hiking and Using Maps.

NEAT supports out-of-school activities for young people aged 11 to 25, and training for adult leaders.

Shaun O'Hare, for Green Drinks, says: "Chris has served for many years as a youth work manager and teacher of deaf students.

"Most of NEAT's work has been in Bradford, with ethnically diverse groups and deaf youngsters."

The meeting is at the Wellbeing Lounge, in East Parade, on Tuesday, September 26, at 5pm.

There will be complimentary cake.

At the last meeting, Sam Riley – from the Aire Rivers Trust – spoke about the River Worth restoration project, being delivered by the trust in partnership with the River Worth Friends.

And Tony Bosworth, from the Friends of the Earth, outlined the Keighley & Ilkley for Warm Homes initiative.
