TWO more Keighley businesses have received Towns Fund support – and between them created five new jobs.

Fretwell Print and Design, of Goulbourne Street, was awarded £19,989 towards replacing printing equipment. Two new posts have been generated.

And Aire Valley Architectural (Aluminium) Ltd, of Parkwood Street, received £16,775 towards machine software and installation, plus upgrades to its factory’s facilities. The move has resulted in three extra jobs.

The money was awarded from the Towns Fund business grant programme, and other firms are being encouraged to apply.

Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, planning and transport, says: "Grants ranging from £1,500 to £315,000 are available for businesses within, or looking to move to, the Keighley and Shipley Towns Fund areas.

"The funding is available for start-ups and small, medium-sized and large businesses and can be used to either expand, increase productivity, create a new business, or safeguard or generate jobs."

Ian Hayfield, chair of Keighley Towns Fund, says: "We are delighted to have made such a significant difference to these local businesses. The funding will have an impact for years to come and the successful growth of our business community will help drive social and economic change for the whole area."
