A DEFIBRILLATOR has been installed in tribute to a popular village postie.
The device has been located outside Bocking Working Men's Club in Cross Roads, where Howard Simpson was a member.
Cross Roads Village Association obtained funding from West Yorkshire Prepared for the defibrillator and first aid training, and the club covered the cost of installation.
"Howard – a husband, father and grandfather – was a true member of our village who was happy to get involved and always did this with a smile," said an association spokesperson.
"He had joined the steering group to try to help save the Cross Roads Inn, because he felt it was a great place to save as a pub and for his community.
"He will be sadly missed."
