IRISH/Norwegian author Anya Bergman is appearing at an event in Haworth on Tuesday (October 10).
She will be at Cobbles & Clay, in Main Street, to read from – and sign copies of – her latest historical thriller, The Witches of Vardo.
Diane Park, owner of neighbouring Wave of Nostalgia bookshop, says: "The Witches of Vardo is a timeless novel about prejudice, misogyny, freedom and the power and strength we can find within ourselves. It has lessons for all of us even today.
"It’s going to be great to find out what Anya’s motivation was and how she made women accused of witchcraft in Norway almost 400 years ago so relevant to us now."
