A MAD Hatter's tea party has served up funds for Breast Cancer Now.

The event was staged by Keighley Lions Club, at the town's All Nations Church.

Afternoon tea, including cupcakes and scones, was served to over 40 guests.

Entertainment was provided by Lions Barry Peel and Allan Clark, the club president, who sang.

Ruth and Robert Payne led on the organisation of the event, which raised over £500 through ticket sales, a raffle and book and bric-a-brac sale.

"We're overjoyed at the success of our tea party," says Lions club spokesperson Cllr Luke Maunsell.

"We'd like to thank everyone who attended, including MP Robbie Moore, and all our amazing volunteers.

"All Nations Church was a fantastic host and unbelievably helpful in preparing things.

"Events like this are a cornerstone of our service to the community and we're very happy to have raised so much for such an important charity."
