NATIONAL Trust Airedale & Wharfedale Association will be transported back in time at its latest meeting.
The Muddy Archaeologist will be the subject of a talk by Gillian Hovell.
An association spokesperson says: "We will be taken back 2,000 years to hear about Christmas 'the Roman way' – Saturnalia.
"Gillian travels widely in her work, lectures and guides on tours and cruises. She will fire your imagination, even if you are not interested in ancient history, archaeology or Latin!"
Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, which takes place at Shipley Library on Saturday, December 9, starting at 2.30pm.
National Trust Airedale & Wharfedale Association meets monthly between September and April, and organises excursions during the spring and summer.
