PUPILS at Oxenhope CE Primary School enjoyed a Winter Wonderland.

They took part in a Christmas treasure hunt, games and crafts, and enjoyed hot chocolate and biscuits.

The event, in the school's nature area, was organised by parent group the Friends.

Headteacher, Alice Jones, says: "We are so grateful for the hard work put in by our Friends – they have gone over and above to bring the Christmas spirit to our children.

"A lot of time is spent in education planning, measuring progress, creating targets and observing achievements. These are all valued and a crucial part of school life, but it's also important to remember fun is equally valuable.

"We plan in days across the year for events which are 'just for the joy'."
