AN air conditioning firm with offices in Keighley and Silsden has pledged its backing to some of the region's neediest families.

Knight Engineers has become a patron of The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, which provides respite breaks to disadvantaged youngsters.

The company committed its support after learning of a campaign by the charity to raise £12,000 for the refurbishment of two holiday lodges on the banks of Lake Windermere.

Simon Wilson, Knight Engineers managing director, says: "We’re excited to be joining The Principle Trust Children's Charity as patron and are proud to support its work.

"In addition to our regular commitment to the trust, we are planning an extreme fundraising challenge and look forward to announcing details in the new year."

Trust founder, Mike Davies, says: "We're delighted Knight Engineers has joined us as a patron. It's an established local firm with a strong reputation. This new partnership is a welcome boost to our refurbishment campaign and further solidifies our long-term plans to expand services."
