POLICE say a "suspicious object" discovered at a property has now been safely disposed of.
Motorists travelling between Keighley and Halifax had to take a diversion at Illingworth yesterday, when a police cordon was set up.
The object was found during forensic searches of a house in Keighley Road, Illingworth, made as part of an investigation into suspected firearms offences.
An army bomb disposal team attended and carried out a controlled explosion.
The cordon has now been lifted.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.
