A KEIGHLEY man was sentenced to eight weeks in jail for a string of thefts from shops in the town.
Edward James stole a gilet jacket, worth £54.99, from New Look on August 29, and trainers valued at £32.99 from the same store on November 7.
He stole perfumes worth a total of £99.98 from TK Maxx, at Keighley Retail Park, Hard Ings Road, on October 25.
And he took eight cardigans, together valued at £160, from Peacocks in the Airedale Shopping Centre on November 6.
James, 47, of West Bank Rise, pleaded guilty to the offences.
Bradford & Keighley Magistrates Court also ordered that he should pay a total of £248 in compensation.
