A POPULAR TV show is urging Keighley viewers to come forward with cherished items – for its 2024 Christmas special!

BBC One's The Repair Shop, whose team breathes new life into family heirlooms, is seeking applications for the programme.

A spokesperson says: "During the Christmas period people have no doubt been exchanging lots of stories as families have got together and memories have been jogged, so this may be the ideal time to think about potential items for our next festive special.

"We’re looking for all sorts of things – it could be a toy, a book, anything at all that is just associated with Christmas and has an amazing story or memory.

"Items don’t have to be antique, but must mean something to you and have a sentimental value.

"If you’ve got anything like that which is in need of repair and you think would make a really good item for the show, please get in touch.

"The experts will be filming early this year, rescuing and restoring items their owners' thought were beyond saving, transforming priceless pieces of family history and bringing loved treasures back to life."
