KEIGHLEY MP Robbie Moore is urging park home residents to claim funding designed to help them heat their homes this winter.

The Charis Warm Home Discount scheme enables residents living permanently in a park home to apply for a £150 payment towards the cost of their energy bills.

Residents who pay the park site owner for their electricity can apply.

Applicants need to be in receipt of Government support or benefits, or have a household income below £18,723.

Also, as part of a Heat the Home package, there is an opportunity to replace or upgrade older inefficient electrical appliances and install warmth retention measures.

Mr Moore says: "These additional funds are a welcome avenue of support for residents of park homes across the Keighley and Ilkley constituency.

"If you have already been awarded the £150 Warm Home Discount, you will automatically receive the Heat the Home bundle.

"I encourage park home residents who have not yet made an application to check their eligibility and take advantage of these extra benefits."

The scheme is an Ofgem-regulated, multi-supplier initiative, which this year is being funded by E.ON Next and Ovo Energy.
