PEOPLE are being sought to provide a voice for their community on an NHS care trust.

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting governors.

Eleven seats are up for grabs – including one each in Keighley, Craven and Shipley.

Care trust chair, Dr Linda Patterson, says: "Our governors have an important and influential role. They represent the voice of their communities, and make a valuable contribution to the trust’s work.

"Nominations are now open for the latest governor elections. I would urge anyone who has been thinking about doing something that makes a difference for local people, or seeking opportunities to develop their skills, to come forward. The role of a foundation trust governor could be for you."

As part of the elections there are also three seats to be filled in Bradford East, two each in Bradford South and Bradford West and one representing 'the rest of England'.

To apply, people first need to be a member of the care trust. Membership is free and can be obtained by completing an online form.

Nominations should be submitted at cesvotes.com/BDCT2024, by March 11.
