A FEMINIST icon who co-founded a groundbreaking women's bookshop is appearing in Haworth.
Jane Cholmeley will talk about her new book, A Bookshop of One’s Own, sign copies and answer questions.
She co-established the Silver Moon bookshop in London, in 1984.
The event takes place at Wave of Nostalgia, Main Street, on Thursday, March 14, at 7pm.
Diane Park, owner of Wave of Nostalgia, says: "Jane played a crucial part in one of the biggest social movements of our time, and A Bookshop of One’s Own is a fascinating slice of social history from the heart of the women’s liberation movement.
"It'll be great to discover how she not only overcame the normal challenges of starting up a bookshop, but also the burdens of misogyny and occasional hate crime."
The event will also be shared via Zoom.
Tickets are available, priced £5, from Wave of Nostalgia or online at waveofnostalgia.co.uk/event-tickets
