A VILLAGE church is going green – and appealing to the public for help.
St Luke's at East Morton is taking part in a Give to go Green campaign, to replace its current energy-guzzling lighting.
Any donations will be match funded.
People have until next Thursday, March 14, when the campaign closes, to give.
A church spokesperson says: "We aim to cut current lighting carbon emissions by half whilst also creating a well-lit, flexible space suitable for a variety of uses by the whole community.
"Give to go Green is a match-funding opportunity being piloted by the Church of England, and we're very proud to be one of the first churches to take part.
"This is the latest phase of the St Luke’s Community Spirit Project, which began in 2018 with the aim of developing the church into a versatile and welcoming community space."
