A VILLAGE is staging its first-ever eco summit.
The event takes place at Cullingworth Village Hall on Tuesday (March 12), from 3.30pm to 5pm.
Inspiration for the summit has come from Cullingworth Village Primary School's eco council.
Funding is being provided by Morley Glass.
There will be a pre-recorded welcome from BBC Look North weather presenter Paul Hudson.
And a range of organisations will showcase their work and activities.
Mrs Elena O'Hare, a teacher at Cullingworth Village Primary School, says: "I've been pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and passion that our pupils have demonstrated for improving the world we live in.
"We have completed some fantastic projects within the school, which have helped us achieve ECO School Green Flag status.
"This event aims to inspire residents of all ages to work together to help co-ordinate Cullingworth's response to the climate emergency and bring together organisations that want to play their part.
"All we ask is that everyone who attends pledges to do something good."
