A MOTHER'S Day tea party in Keighley has been hailed as a success.
More than 30 people attended the event, and £577 was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Guests at the party – organised by Keighley Lions Club, and held at All Nations Church – enjoyed tea and coffee, champagne, cakes and sandwiches.
Entertainment was provided by Lions president Allan Clark and member Barry Peel, who sang some classic songs.
There was also a raffle.
The event was supported by a team of volunteers, including Ruth Payne and Susan Peel, who organised the catering.
Mr Clark says: "Our guests had a wonderful time.
"The Motor Neurone Disease Association is such an important charity for families of those who have this devastating disease. Some of our own members have first-hand experience of the impact of the condition and it is only right that we do our bit to raise the profile of this cause.
"We were blown away by how much was raised and are proud of all our members who worked so hard to make this possible.
"Thanks go to everyone who attended, supported and donated, as well as to All Nations Church for being such gracious hosts."
