VILLAGERS are being urged to take part in an Easter trail.

The event, at Oakworth, will raise money to help maintain the village hall.

Eggs, Easter bunnies and chicks will be dotted around, with each containing a letter.

When all are collected, the letters spell out a phrase.

The trail begins at 9am on Saturday, March 23, and runs until 9am the following Saturday.

People should then take their completed answer sheets to the village hall between noon and 2pm on Saturday, March 30.

Everyone will receive an Easter egg, and all correct entries will go into a prize draw.

"We hope as many people as possible will join in the fun," said a spokesperson.

"You can do it all in one day, or over several days.

"It should be noted that portions of the Easter trail take place in woodland, and may be unsuitable for pushchairs. Also, please wear suitable footwear."

Tickets are £4 per child, or £7 for two children, including the Easter egg on completion.

The event is being staged by Oakworth Community Trust, formed to take over the running of the village hall when the building faced closure.
