A CHOIR is spreading Easter joy across the region.

All Together Now has distributed Easter eggs to ten children's charities and other good causes.

Nearly 500 chocolate eggs were donated by choir members.

Recipients are Airedale Hospital children's ward; Staying Put, a domestic abuse and sexual violence charity which operates across the Bradford district; Martin House Children's Hospice at Boston Spa; Carers' Resource in Skipton and Shipley; Candlelighters, which supports children with cancer and their families; the St Hugh's Centre, Baildon; Bradford and Harrogate hospital trusts; and New Beginnings, for survivors of domestic abuse.

A choir spokesperson says: "Members gave a whopping 491 Easter eggs, which will add smiles to the faces of children across our communities. It's fabulous to feel we are providing some treats for such amazing children and young people!

"We are very proud of our members for their generosity. Heartfelt thanks go to them, and our trustees and charity committee."
