A HAWORTH independent bookshop is a finalist in an awards scheme recognising the achievements of small businesses.
Wave of Nostalgia has been shortlisted in the High Street Hero category of the UK Small Awards.
The Main Street bookshop is among eight contenders vying for the accolade in the annual awards programme, organised by Small Business Britain.
Diane Park, Wave of Nostalgia owner, says: "We're absolutely delighted to be selected as one of the top eight small businesses on the UK's high streets.
"Coming so quickly after being awarded the accolade of best independent bookshop in the north of England, we’re all a bit dazed!
"We'd like to thank all our fantastic customers and suppliers for their support.
"The special thing about this award is that it focuses on how small businesses contribute towards the success of their street and how they work as an active member of their community to help drive footfall to all businesses in the neighbourhood."
Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London next month.
