KEIGHLEY MP Robbie Moore was quizzed by pupils at Long Lee Primary School.
He took part in a question-and-answer session with school council members.
Mr Moore said it was "a privilege" to visit the school, and he paid tribute to headteacher Sue Holdsworth and her colleagues.
"It was a privilege to visit and spend time with pupils on the school council," he said.
"I spoke about my role and there were some thought-provoking questions. It was great to see such enthusiasm about the local area from the group.
"The eagerness of the school council to get involved and help others by representing fellow pupils is truly commendable.
"Long Lee Primary has an excellent learning environment and a fantastic, hard-working teaching team led by Mrs Holdsworth."
