FREE yoga sessions and a family fun day are being staged by Keighley Town Council.

The yoga sessions take place on Friday (June 21) at the civic centre, in North Street.

Anyone is welcome to attend.

The event is aimed at people new to yoga, or wanting to experience Hatha yoga.

There are two sessions, at 10am and 11am, led by Jodi Law.

Places will be allocated on a first come-first served basis.

The event is in celebration of International Yoga Day.

A spokesperson says: "All equipment is provided – just bring yourself and a bottle of water!"

The fun day – Eid on the Green – is being held at Church Green next Saturday (June 22), between 10am-4pm.

There will be a host of free activities, including soft archery, rodeo football, giant games, face painting and henna.

Arts charity Keighley Creative will be present with an arts and crafts workshop.

And Cecil Green Arts is running a circus workshop.

There will be special appearances from princesses, who will be present for 'meet and greets' from noon.

Also, Punjabi Roots will perform, at 2.30pm.

Food and drink will be on offer, and stalls are being staged by charities and other organisations.
