Plans to build a 65-bedroom hotel and 18 apartments at Haworth have been withdrawn.
The proposed scheme, for land to the west of Weavers Hill, had been recommended for refusal by Bradford Council planning officers.
The application was due to be considered today by Keighley Area Planning Panel members.
Following its withdrawal a spokesman for the applicant - Bradford-based businessman Pervez Abbas – said the plans would be resubmitted, with additional information about highways access and financial contributions to local infrastructure.
The scheme - which includes leisure facilities such as a swimming pool and health spa – has provoked strong opposition from residents living near the land and from members of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council. More than 40 people registered their objections with the district council.
