Training courses will run in Keighley for people wishing to improve health and social care.

Bradford LINk, which is based in Keighley, will help people run campaigns, organise groups and monitor health care.

LINk – which stands for Local Involvement Net-work – aims to give people a voice in the services they receive.

It wants to encourage more people to make a difference as the NHS and other public bodies face major changes.

One course entitled Championing Change will show people how they can influence key decisions on local health care.

Facilitation Skills Training will show people how to run groups.

Another course, Understanding Outcomes, will help show how health projects have measurable results. Ash Alom (pictured), one of the LINk workers in Keighley, said the courses aimed to give people skills to challenge decisions. Call (01535) 665258 or training@bradfordlink.org.uk.
