A Keighley man has been chosen to dance during the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

Nathaniel Scott has landed the honour after working in the entertainment industry for the past two years including appearances on top TV shows.

He has just started six weeks of rehearsals for the Swing Out Sisters section of the opening where he will perform a jive routine.

After his Olympics performance in August he will embark on a 15-month European tour with the West End musical We Will Rock You.

Nathaniel, 24, studied at Oakbank School and Haworth's Little Angels drama school before studying musical theatre at SLP College in Leeds.

He made his professional debut in 2008 in the Bradford Alhambra pantomime Cinderella.

After leaving drama school in 2010 Nathaniel was signed by a top theatrical agency and began auditioning for West End shows, films and TV series.

Since then Nathaniel has had many professional TV and stage engagements, including playing Buttons in Cinderella, dancing in the Britain's Got Talent live final, and dancing in CBBC show Remote Control Star, with Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.
