Manorlands has recruited more than 60 people to take part on its behalf in this year’s Great North Run.
But it still has some charity places remaining in the world-famous September 16 half-marathon. Places must be filled by next Saturday, June 30.
The Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice is also encouraging people already with a slot in the event to run with its team.
Among those taking part is a group from Timothy Taylor pubs. They can be sponsored at uk. virginmoneygiving.com/team/ TAYLORS2012.
Hayley Ibbotson, running and challenge fundraiser at Manorlands, said: “We hope by the end of the month all of our places will be filled.”
Participants are given training advice and support on the day.
