Storytelling, hand-washing and face- painting helped Keighley children learn how to stay safe this week.
The activities were among those offered in Airedale Shopping Centre as part of National Child Safety Week.
Bradford Council organised the event on Tuesday and invited other organisations to provide accident prevention information and activities.
These included West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue, the Council road safety team, Families Information Service, pre-school groups and the NHS.
There was advice on car safety, and appearances from Sporty Bear, the Fire and Rescue mascot.
Coun Val Slater, the Council’s executive member for housing, planning and transport, said everyone could take small steps to make a tremendous difference to children’s safety. She said: “Wrapping children in cotton wool is not the idea.”
