Fancy taking a 26-mile bite out of the Big Apple while raising money for Manorlands?

The Oxenhope hospice is looking for people willing to take up one of its charity places in the New York Marathon this November.

It is also looking for runners willing to take part in the London Marathon next April.

Manorlands fundraiser Hayley Ibbotson said: “New York is a fantastic race and we can offer packages with Sports Tours International who provide race entry, flights and accommodation.

“Equally as popular is the London Marathon, and we have already received a lot of interest in the 2013 race.”

More than 50 runners took part in this year’s London Marathon for Sue Ryder, the charity which runs Manorlands, and the running team is on target to raise £80,000.

Details about both marathons can be found at sueryder.org.

Anyone interested in running should contact Hayley on (01535) 640430 or hayley.ibbotson@ sueryder.org.
