Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged attempted robbery of two boys near Lund Park in Keighley.

Two older teenagers approached boys aged 12 and 11 at about 9pm on Friday near the park entrance on Malsis Road.

One of the men allegedly demanded the 12-year-old’s phone and then punched him.

The victim managed to flee without handing over his phone, but was hit and needed hospital treatment for a facial injury.

The first suspect was described as Asian, aged 16 to 18, 5ft 3ins high, and chubby with dark hair. He was wearing a white/grey hooded zip up jacket and a black T shirt underneath.

The second suspect was described as Asian, aged 16 to 18, and taller and slimmer than the other man. His hair which was short at the back and sides, and he was wearing black trousers with a black hooded zip up waterproof jacket.

An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, and was yesterday in custody.
