Macmillan Cancer Support has issued a big “thank you” to its volunteers in Keighley.

And the charity is appealing for more people to come forward to help with a range of roles, from raising funds to administrative tasks.

Roohi Lupton, fundraising manager, said: “We’re very grateful for all the time and hard work people across this area have given. We know we wouldn’t be one of the UK’s leading cancer support charities without our volunteers.

“Whether it’s holding a bucket at a collection, giving talks, marshalling events, manning a stand, attending cheque presentations or being a representative, we really appreciate all that our volunteers do.

“We’re always looking for new people to join us and we have a huge variety of tasks supporters can get involved in. You don’t need experience, just enthusiasm.

“Cancer is the toughest fight most of us could ever face, and most of us know someone who has received a cancer diagnosis. Even if you can donate just one hour, we really do appreciate that time and it will make a difference.”
