A Riddlesden man is getting ready to participate in a 150-mile sponsored cycle ride next Thursday, to support the RNLI.
James Spencer will be among a group of 25 fellow Yorkshire Building Society employees aiming to collectively complete the route from Bradford to Peterborough.
Mr Spencer, 36, said the team aimed to raise at least £1,000.
“We’ll be doing this like a relay, with some of us each completing 15 to 20 miles,” he said. “But I plan to cycle as far as I possibly can to be honest. I hope to manage at least 100 miles. I don’t cycle an awful lot, but I used to play a lot of football and I do try and keep fit.”
He said he was receiving support from Keighley company Aire Valley Cycles, which is lending him a bike, helmet and cycling clothes for the event free of charge.
