Manorlands fundraisers have thanked everyone who attended their latest annual garden party, which helped raise more than £19,000 for the hospice.
The event took place on Sunday in the grounds of Manorlands, at Oxenhope.
Fundraising team member Richard Martin said: “Despite the Wimbledon final, a large number of the public turned out to support the garden party and therefore the amount raised was £2,000 more than last year.
“SA Labels were our main sponsor and we are very grateful to them as well as to the other organisations that advertised in the event newspaper.”
A 1940s theme was the highlight of the occasion, with hundreds of people of all ages dressing up in period costume. Members of the Haworth Home Guard group used their historical knowledge to help transform the site into a street scene from the decade.
Mr Martin said: “The funds raised will go towards the work of the hospice, both here at Manorlands and out in the community.
“A huge thank you must go to everyone who supported us on the day by setting up and running stalls and refreshments, and those who performed on the stage keeping the crowds entertained.
“A special thanks must go to the Haworth Home Guard who helped make the event feel very 1940s.”
