Keighley ghosthunters spent a night on a haunted battlefield in a bid to find Civil War spooks.
The Pennine Paranormal Society joined ten other teams from across the UK at Marston Moor on the same date as the eve of the famous battle.
In 1644 30,000 Parliamentarians faced 18,000 Royalists with great loss of life, victory going to Cromwell’s Parliamentarians.
Society founder Simon Booth said the paranormal investigation was originally organised by Paul Reid, who died from cancer before the event took place so money was for the MacMillan Nurses.
Mr Booth said: “The event itself was fantastic with nearly every team reporting activity that ranged from sounds and electro voice phenomena to sightings of apparitions.
“Our team heard horses and voices and felt vibrations through the ground, with one team member Sue Sharpe hearing the distinct sound of drums. All the evidence was logged on a timeline and will be published in a single report which will be made available for any future investigations.”
The event will take place again next year, and will be renamed Paul Reid’s Battlefield Paranormal in Paul’s memory.
