The editor of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s members' magazine Push and Pull has stood down after 14 years in the post.
Tim Hanson’s departure has prompted railway bosses to look at ways to cut the costs of producing the quarterly glossy magazine.
Mr Hanson and his volunteer team have produced 56 issues of the magazine since he took over in 1998. He continued as editor after moving to a new job in the far north-east of Scotland, flying back for production meetings.
For many years he has been heavily involved with the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, with positions including steam train driver and locomotive painter.
Mr Hanson's father David was a pioneering member of the railway and is a previous editor of Push and Pull.
In the latest magazine, fellow member Chris Bates paid tribute to Mr Hanson's work.
He said: “Tim’s great strength as editor was in having always been at the working heart of the railway.
“His judgments on the magazine's content and priorities reflected those of the people whose hard work and dedication makes it possible for us to run one of the finest heritage railways.”
