Police have launched a murder investigation after a 76-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Ivy Bank Lane, Haworth, yesterday morning.
The woman has been named locally as Eileen Callaghan.
An 80-year-old man, believed to be her husband, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.
He was found unconscious at the wheel of his vehicle in Keighley Road, Colne, on Saturday evening and taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the dead woman but the cause of death is still to be established.
