School pupils learned how they can avoid being hurt in a range of potentially dangerous situations.
Around 380 children from 11 primary schools took part in a ‘Stay Safe’ event at Keighley Campus Leeds City College.
Among them were year six youngsters from Haworth Primary School.
Key stage two leader at Haworth Primary, Shirley Davids, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon in which the children learned about safety in a series of scenarios. These included the kitchen, deep water, building sites, power cables and safety around dogs and fires.
“This was the first year the event has taken place in Keighley. Hopefully the college will host the event again, as it was an excellent venue, giving the children a chance to see the new building.
“The children especially loved the dogs.”
