Pupils at Glusburn Community Primary School have lost their bottle – and they’re delighted!
The school’s eco team launched a campaign aimed at slashing the number of plastic bottles brought in.
It instead encouraged people to buy refillable “eco bottles” and promoted the message through posters and an assembly.
The activity is supplied by The Pod, a partner of Eco Schools England. Initiatives run through The Pod help to get pupils, parents and local communities engaged in green projects.
Head teacher Richard Hunt said: “The campaign significantly reduced the number of disposable plastic bottles brought into school. This resulted in the school winning a gold pod medal and campaign pin badges.”
