Airedale Hospital is making the headlines.

Its annual report has been produced in newspaper form, for the second year running.

“We received lots of positive comments about the newspaper version last year and so decided to do the same again,” said Colin Millar, chairman of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

“Our aim is to keep our patients and local people up to date about exciting developments that have happened over the past year, or which are planned for the future.

“Hopefully this will encourage more people to become involved with our work, help us to improve our services and be better informed to make the best choice about people’s care.”

The newspaper – called The Annual Record 2011/2012 – includes information about new services and equipment, awards received, health advice, profiles, how patients can get more involved, useful contacts and the trust’s financial position.

Copies have been distributed to libraries, GP surgeries and other health venues. It will be available at airedale-trust.nhs.uk.
