Acclaimed violinist Tasmin Little led a masterclass for budding Bradford-district musicians.
Students from ten schools, including Oakbank and Holy Family in Keighley, took part.
The string workshop, at Future House in Bradford, was arranged by the Council’s Music and Arts Service.
Tony Johnson, head of the service, said: “This was an exceptional opportunity for the pupils and one which they will never forget.”
