A CULLINGWORTH business did its bit to boost the success of the inaugural Tour de Yorkshire.
Antiques at the Mill acted as a feed station during the sportive, which preceded the race itself.
"Due to the unpleasant Yorkshire weather the organisers underestimated the number of cyclists that would choose to stop at this point – with about 4,000-plus riders attending the feed station!" said a spokesman for the business.
"Unfortunately the cyclists had endured a wet and cold start to the ride."
Antiques at the Mill owner Chris Harney and shop managers Ralph and Helen Wood supplemented the feed station supplies with hot drinks and bars of chocolate.
"Hopefully we will be lucky enough to provide these facilities again next year when we hope the Yorkshire weather will be a little more forgiving!" added the spokesman.
