A CULLINGWORTH butcher has scooped a string of gold awards.
Ellisons took five top accolades in the Butchers Q Guild Smithfield Awards.
The Halifax Road shop's thick pork sausage and 8oz brisket burger each scored a maximum 100 points.
And it also secured gold with its dry cured middle bacon, best 4oz burger and pork, apple and black pudding sausage.
The annual awards are open to the guild's 110 members nationwide and this year a record 472 products were entered across nine categories.
Trophies and certificates were presented by chef Monica Galetti, a judge on BBC2's MasterChef:The Professionals, in a ceremony at Ironmongers Hall, London.
Q Guild national chairman, Mark Turnbull, said: "The Smithfield Awards remain one of the most demanding and stringent product evaluation tests in the land.
"All products need to be at the very top of their game to stand a chance of success."
